Danny Federici, keyboardist in Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, died yesterday (April 17) at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. He'd been battling with melanoma, a skin cancer, for the past three years.

Prince's new album chart eligible or not?

On June 30 we reported that Prince's forthcoming album "Planet Earth" would not be released in the UK by his British record company Sony BMG because the album is to be given away for free with a copy of the British newspaper Mail on Sunday.

DVD from David Gilmour coming up

David Gilmour released the solo album "On an Island" last year. He also went on tour to promote the album. On the tour he not only performed songs from "On an Island", he played many Pink Floyd classics, and even some more odd Pink Floyd material, as well.

A major Bob Dylan box set is on the way. It will be entitled "Dylan" and is to be released October 1.

New Prince album not to be released in the UK?

As previously reported the new Prince album, "Planet Earth", is to be released July 16, apart from in the US where it will be released July 24. Now a special problem has occurred with the British release of the album, and the album might not be released in the UK at all.
